Is it possible for the opacity action when creating an effect under Animate > Action in Keynote to go from X% to 100%? I can only see the ability for it to go from 100% to X% I would like the object I'm animating to fade in.

Fade In can be achieved at the slide/Build-In level, rather than as an Action.
You can use the Fade and Scale Built-In action,. with the scale set to 100% (so that it has no effect on the size/scale of the item, but the fade will still apply:

Thank you for your response. The issue I have with this solution is that it can't be delivered with other actions. I would like the action to move and change opacity at the same time.
