iPhone calendar issues since IOS 26.2 update

iPhone SE2020. Software version IOS 26.2.

Can someone tell me why this is happening please?

Before the update when I entered a calendar event it would look like this:

January 31, 2026 11:00AM

January 31, 2026 12:00PM

NOW it looks like this;

1/31/2026 11:00AM

January 31, 2026 12:00PM

I have gone to Settings>General>Language & Region>Calendar

When I click on Calendar it says:

Gregorian

Japanese

Buddist

No options to change anything. My Region is United States.

When I go to Date Format my choices are only number dates with no option to change.

Can someone please tell me how to get my month day and year back on so that it looks like this:

January 31, 2026 11:00AM

January 31, 2026 12:00PM instead of this:

1/31/2026 11:00AM

January 31, 2026 12:00PM

Yes I’m OCD and this is driving me nuts!!!
