iMac: iTunes CD import error, 'removable volume access

I am trying to upload a cd to iTunes. I repeatedly get the message change setting for removable volume access. I have no idea where this is. This is on a 2025 iMac running the latest software.

iMac 24″, macOS 26.2

The setting is System Settings > Privacy & Security > Files & Folders > Music > Removable Volumes, and you want it to be turned ON.

My understanding is that this setting – and the need to turn it on – first appeared in macOS 14 (Sonoma).

When I upgraded from Ventura to Sequoia, skipping Sonoma, I tried to turn on this switch, but could not find it or any way to add it. Then I ran Music, possibly to play a CD, and it asked me to give permission, which I gave. That added the switch to System Settings.

I suspect things work the same way in Tahoe ... so if the switch is there, turn it on, and if it's not, see if you can get Music to add it for you.
