Cannot view all Significant Locations on iPhone 17 Pro Max

How to view previous significantlocations on iPhone 17 Pro Max with iOS 26.2. I get as far as significant locations and services. It shows I have 100 records but no way to view other than the most recent. How do I view others?

iPhone 17 Pro Max, iOS 26

You cannot view those locations. They are used by the OS on your device only for things like Map suggestions/Stolen Device Protection and not even Apple knows what they are. Your iPhone is not a personal tracking device that is going to disclose every location you visited. If you want a personal tracking device, there are third party apps in the App Store that will do that for you after you give them permission to your Location.

At one time that was possible, but I am sure you can see how that information could be abused by an overprotective partner or even by law enforcement if they were able to get that information from your device. They can get your location data from your cell provider with a subpoena, but Apple is not able to give that to them because they don't have it and it is not viewable on the device.

You can't do what you'd like to do. Significant Locations is not a repository of all the locations you've visited. It is designed for Stolen Device Protection, so you can change your passcode in the two most visited significant locations, like home or work. Apple is all about privacy and having access to the the locations stored, could be a danger for someone.

No, that has been answered.

why track and keep them on the phone?

For the reasons that have already been given. Maps and Stolen Device protection were 2 examples of those reasons. Neither of those uses would require you do view the data and it is best to have them encrypted on your device where it can be used without prying eyes that could use it for other unintentional purposes. Examples of those have also been given.

Apple's pretty clear about that. On the Significant Locations & Routes page, it says, " Allow your iPhone and other iCloud-connected devices to learn places significant to you as well as routes you take often, in order to provide useful location-related information in Maps, Calendar, Photos, and more."
