Since software upgrade to 26.2, iPhone has ceased to work.

Since an overnight "upgrade" to iOS 26. 2 on an iPhone 16 ProMax, the phone part has stopped working - no incoming and no outgoing calls. Only the SOS shows. When I look at Settings>Network>Network, it shows "Not Available."

Everything was fine until the update.

On an Apple "chat," the Apple representative is telling me it's the Verizon service and not the update that is causing this problem. Is this feasible and truly a coincidence that the phone hasn't worked since the software update or another case of one company "passing the buck" blame?

iPad Pro, iPadOS 18

Verizon is having a Nation-Wide Outage:

It's probably no more than a mere coincidence that there is a nation-wide Verizon outage, yet you've installed this update. That would may be affecting this --Cellular and Messaging and SOS-only.

As it Reads: "Verizon is aware of an issue impacting wireless voice and data services for some customers. We are working to restore service quickly."
