How do I fix 'WFBackgroundShortcutRunner-ErrorDomain error 0' when printing on Mac?

Using a MacBook Air starting to print on an HP printer. This has always worked absolutely fine but suddenly when I press print I get the message: The operation couldn't be completed. (WFBackgroundShortcutRunner-ErrorDomain error 0).
