Live Data Transfer and Device Differentiations:
In much older iPhone models, your didn't have access to WiFi 7, as it didn't exist. Dual Band (AC) wasn't around, as Wireless G, or Wireless N was the only option, depending on the model. With slow DTR, expect slow speed to complete.
iTunes is used in older iPhones, where as Music or TV apps are used in today's iOS.
Home Button is an option in older iPhone models. Nowadays, the entire iPhone is touchscreen. So, logging in is much different.
