Yes, this is completely normal when you charge an iPhone with a fast charger (20w or higher), your phone will charge to a certain level, then pause charging until the phone cools a bit. It is expected and there is nothing to be concerned about.

Sure, but even the vapor cooling can't alter physics. Simply said, fast charging causes the battery to heat faster. It's called Thermodynamic Exchange. We ALL see this when we charge our phones faster. And Apple is pausing charging to protect our phones and prolong the health of our batteries. It is as I've said, normal and nothing to be concerned about.
