Wireless printer doesn't work after update to Tahoe 26.2

I just updated my MacBook Air to OS Tahoe 26.2. Now my wireless printer/scanner (Brother HL-3180CDW) will not work. I have shut down the router, the printer, and my laptop. I checked to make sure they are on the same network. I found a new software package on line, but it doesn't find my printer when I try to update. Nothing has worked.

Next try resetting the MacBook Air's Printing System.

If that does not help, contact Brother Support.

Does your Brother model have a control panel with a status window like our Brother HL-L2370?:

If so, press the Wifi button to see its status.

When I had to update and reroute our entire home network last year, the Brother was off wall power for several hours and lost settings. Working through the wifi options restored its functions.

You might want ot check the Brother manual. I struggled a bit at first sorting which action was "Next" and which was "Set." Hint, hint.
