Launchpad, Apple Watch, and Liquid Glass Issues in Recent Updates
Over the last updates across macOS, iOS, and watchOS, my overall experience with Apple devices has become more frustrating instead of more productive.
On macOS, Launchpad has lost its usefulness. I used to organize apps into folders by purpose, maintain visual order, and search efficiently. Now apps appear without a clear structure, breaking the aesthetic and making the interface far less intuitive.
On Apple Watch, the removal of the Toy Story watch faces was deeply disappointing. Those faces added personality and emotional value to the device, and removing them feels unnecessary and disconnected from the user experience.
On iOS 26, even on a high end device like the iPhone 17 Pro Max, I experience freezes and input issues, especially when typing in Settings or in apps like Spotify and Perplexity. Sometimes the keyboard stops responding, forcing me to close apps repeatedly, which increases stress instead of efficiency.
Taken together, these changes and bugs reduce usability, increase friction, and undermine the feeling of quality that originally made me choose Apple.
I hope Apple considers restoring lost features, improving system stability, and prioritizing functional, intuitive design over changes that feel disruptive rather than helpful.
Additionally, I’ve noticed a persistent flickering issue when previewing Apple Watch faces from the iPhone.
The watch faces visibly flicker or blink, which is distracting and uncomfortable to look at. This happens consistently when browsing or previewing faces, and it negatively affects the overall experience.
I’ve attached a video showing this behavior, as it appears to be a software-related rendering issue rather than a hardware problem.
Issues like this, combined with the removal of certain watch faces and general system instability, make the experience feel less polished than expected from Apple.
