iMac (Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, 2019) - Technical Specifications - Apple Support indicates that your Mac has 802.11ac Wi-Fi wireless networking that is IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n compatible.

According to Wikipedia,

  • Wi-Fi 5 is IEEE 802.11ac, adopted in 2013.
  • Wi-Fi 6 is IEEE 802.11ax, adopted in 2021.
  • Wi-Fi 7 is IEEE 802.11be, adopted in 2024.
  • Wi-Fi 8 is IEEE 802.11bn, a work in progress.

Your iMac came out when 802.11ac was the latest standard, and thus has WI-Fi 5.
