CarPlay not working with voice commands IOS 26

CarPlay is not working on iPhone 14 after ios 26.2 update.

On 'Siri' command, the icon appears on my car screen, but no response is forthcoming for phone, Maps, etc.

Everything works on my phone, but once I plug in CarPlay is dead to voice commands.

I have switched off car and phone, unpaired and repaired, reset both car and phone and still no solution.
