Problems with iOS 26.2 update

Is there any to change settings in the iOS 26.2 update. I have an iPhone 13 and after update. Read to speech is very robotic and I had downloaded a premium voice. Work fine before update. The tool bar for read to speech is horrible, want to use previous one. Also, I do not like the new setup for safari. Like to the older version

Sounds like you are using some 3rd party speech generator. What toolbar are you referring to?

If you are using a 3rd party app or extension for Safari, then contact the app or extension developer.

For the built in speech, you can go to Settings ➜ Accessibility ➜ Read & Speak

For a more Natural voice in Safari and most other places you can select text and have it read, I have found Voice 4 under Siri to sound pretty natural.

For the Safari layout, if you mean the search bar at the bottom of the screen, you can change that in Settings ➜ Apps ➜ Safari ➜ Tabs and choose one of the layouts there. The traditional one was the one labeled "Top".

Your iPhone 13 could be >4 years old and the long process of applying a major iOS upgrade to an iPhone with a weak, aging battery can be the proverbial "straw that broke the camel's back." So...

Does your iPhone 13 still have its original battery?

And what's the Maximum Capacity % here?...

No, I am using the one from the settings; premium is supposed to be best version of the voice. Before the update, the voice was fine. After update, it is robotic. I have tried different voices, pitches, etc…. Also, reseted voice settings and restarted the phone. When I select the voice in settings, it sounds like it should but when it is actually reading the text it is robotic. Thanks for the info on the Safari, that really helped.

Hello everyone,

If you’re experiencing issues with Safari not loading pages after updating to macOS 26.2, try this workaround:

Disconnect all connections from your iMac, including external monitors, external hard drives, and peripherals. Wait a few seconds, then reconnect everything. I would also recommend to restart the computer after.

This happened to me after updating my iMac M1 to macOS 26.2. Safari would not load any pages and would sometimes stay completely blank. I spent hours with Apple Support going through extensive troubleshooting steps, including reinstalling the software, but nothing helped.

Eventually, I tried disconnecting all external connections and reconnecting them, and WALA Safari started working normal again. Hopefully this saves someone else a lot of time in the near future.

I hope this helps.
