sequoia 15.7.3 update, screencaps not working, goes to apple mail program.
Macbook Air 15", M4 2025. Downloaded the Sequoia 15.7.3 update. All went well. However, now the screencaps buttons (all) after hearing the photo click, launches Apple Mail app instead of saving the screen capture. Does the same with capture video. Tried first aid, and onyx, but no change. Any suggestions, thanks.
Press shift-command-5 to open the Screen Capture options.
Click Options and then select the appropriate Save to location.

Command-Shift-5 launches an application called Screenshot.
If the shortcut somehow does not work (which never happened to me), you can launch the Screenshot application directly. It lives in /Applications/Utilities, and can be launched there, or from Spotlight:
