Replace Mac mini MAC address with device name

I wouldn't fool with changing the MAC address even if it's technically possible. It's a great way to create problems for yourself.

You can change the Mac's "computer name" as it appears on the network. Edit the computer name in the Sharing pane in System Preferences (aka System Settings).

"Replace Mac mini MAC address with device name: I want to replace the mac address of a mac mini on my local network with the mini's name. how do I do that? I am running Tahoe 26.2"

Making the MAC Address the Name of a Mac:

You Can't. MAC is an acronym for Media Access Control; it has nothing to do with the proper noun Mac.

The MAC address is hexadecimal, so the host name is also hexadecimal.
