Maps requires toggling Location Services on MacBook Pro (Intel) running macOS Sequoia

I am using a MacBook Pro (Intel) running macos Sequoia. Very often (but not every time) when I open Maps it doesn't know my location. So I have to go into System Settings and toggle off/on Location Services. My laptop is rarely anywhere other than at home so the location doesn't change.

Why does this keep happening? It's very annoying.

Also, why does it require my password to toggle it OFF (not ON)? I can understand it asking for a password to turn it back on.

Thanks.

The Wi-Fi connection is lost when the Mac is in full computer sleep mode and/or shutdown.

Then there is a delay in re-connecting to the Wi-fi and re-establishing Location services.

If Map is open during that transition time, then Maps is loosing location at that time.

If Maps was left open in the previous session and looses Location, then try closing and re-opening Maps.

If Maps is set to open at Login, remove it from opening at login and manually open and close Maps.

Hmm... Occasionally when I first open Maps, it has wondered off to some other Location.

But to be honest, I think that is because I left it off of Home when I Quit Maps.

What happens when you click the Location pointer up on the top bar..?

How many Pinned Locations do you have saved in the sidebar..?

How many Routes do you have saved in the sidebar..?

Do you have Home information setup..?
