Importing iMovie project folders into iMovie Library

I used software recovery to locate all my previous iMovie projects dating back years. But from an 'orphan' folder. The actual iMovie 'package' is gone. I have about a hundred folders, each named with the project and all its contents, music, clips, etc. Is there ANYWAY to import these folder as project into my current iMovie Library? I tried one and it's not showing up in iMovie - even after updating Projects and Events.

I am running Mac Mini Pro with latest Tahoe. Thanks in advance?

Hi,

You can't import the files into iMovie 10 as a project, but you can copy and import into iMovie 10 the video and photo files in the Original Media folder. You then could use the imported files to create a new iMovie project. Otherwise you would need the original iMovie app and project to import/play as a project.
