Access old Time Machine backup on new iMac
I have a 2018 external drive that I used on an old iMac to back up files with via Time Machine. Will I be able to access the backed up files on this older drive on a new iMac? It shows up on the Desktop.
Yes. Choose Utilities from the Finder's Go menu, open the Migration Assistant, and transfer your data; it'll create a new user account.
