Keyboard covers screen after latest update
Since latest update my keyboard takes up about 3/4 of my screen. I can’t read or respond to messages becauseckeyboard covers text

Are you using the Display Zoom setting? Some reports here suggest that this setting, in some circumstances, can cause the issue that you desribe:
Settings > Display & Brightness > [Display] Display Zoom - select Default or More Space
