Pages search: POSIX regex support?

Is it foreseen that Pages can use regular expressions according to the POSIX standard in the future? At least it would be desirable to support the basic functionality BRE (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regular_expression#POSIX_basic_and_extended). Does anybody have more insight into the upcoming developments? At present the search function has minimalistic settings :-/

These are explicitly public fellow user supported communities. There are no Apple employees participating here and future features of Pages are unknown to us, and restricted to the Pages Product team. These are not rumor sites.

You can submit a feature request to the Pages Product team from the Pages applicaiton menu. Don't expect any response, or that your request will get implemented.
