Share Apple Home Key

I have an Aqara U100 door lock and an Aqara M3 hub. I successfully created a Home Key for myself. Now I would like to add my family. I keep reading that I need to add my family as "residents", but when I add people, it only gives me the ability to add guests. What do I need to do to share my home key with my family?
