Change iPhone lock screen clock to a solid font

Hold your finger on the lock screen, then tap Customize when it appears. Next tap on the time and you will be able to select fonts and colors of the font. When finished tap somewhere else on the screen and tap Done at the top.

Follow the directions Lawrence Finch provided. You have to set the Wallpaper first, then customize it to change the Lock Screen Font and color.

I tried that, however that does not work on what was my wallpaper: 1st photo.

touching customise results in “failed to load asset”: 2nd photo.

I then created a similar new wallpaper which I was able to customise in the way you show: 3rd photo.

i prefer my original, it has been my wallpaper since my first iPhone (iPhone 3 I think)l but this will have to do.

hopefully someone in Apple’s software development dept will read this, as this is clearly a bug.

A lot of existing wallpapers failed even when iOS18 was introduced. Find the photo in your Photos app and start again.

I hope you know that astronomy and weather wallpapers use data and battery getting new data all the time. Just a warning.
