iPad Pro: Stage Manager controls block 'x' button in app ads

Hi all, iOS 26.2 on iPad Pro. When watching ads in any app/game, I am running into this issue where the new little traffic light multi-task menu is right over the “x” - how can I just get rid of this little unnecessary floating item? And before you say to turn off the stage manager or multi-tasking, that is not an option. I’ve been using those features for years and have not had this issue before. This is either a bug or needs to just be able to be toggled off. I am hoping I am just missing this option in settings.

The traffic-light multitasking button (previously a three-dot button situated at top-centre of App windows) cannot be relocated - and can only be suppressed by switching the iPad to Full-Screen Apps mode in iPad settings:

Settings > Multitasking & Gestures

Many older Apps may need to be updated by their Developer to reposition conflicting App-related controls. Please contact the relevant App Developer to highlight any difficulties that you are experiencing with their App(s) following your update to iPadOS 26:
