New iPad Pro failing/stalked restoring from iCloud backup

New iPad Pro restore from iCloud stuck with “Restore in Progress” with an estimated 8.6 GB required to finished restore. I’ve tried restarting the device but still failing to progress. Any ideas on how I can resolve the issue. The restore has been running for over 24 hrs. The device has been plugged in and connected to Fibre/Highspeed broadband
