iCloud sync zip file appears in iPad downloads folder

i found what i believe is an icloud synch zip file in my ipad downloads folder; never seen this before. when i clicked on it it brought up files for passwords, bookmarks, extensions and history. is this information automatically transferred to the corresponding app? can i delete them from my downloads folder? thank you.
