Hey there,

You’re running into the Lock Screen vs. Home Screen wallpaper setting. On newer iOS versions, it’s very easy for the Lock Screen photo to also get applied behind your apps.

Here’s how to make the Home Screen (behind your apps) solid blue, while keeping (or changing) your Lock Screen photo.

Set a blue wallpaper behind apps only:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap Wallpaper
  3. Tap Customize under your current wallpaper pair
  4. You’ll see two previews:
  • Lock Screen (left)
  • Home Screen (right)

5. Tap Home Screen:

Choose a solid blue background

In the Home Screen editor, tap Color

and choose what you want..

  • You can drag the slider for a lighter/darker blue

  • Make sure Blur is OFF (blur can make photos show through)

6.Tap Done!

Now:

  • 📱 Lock Screen = your photo.

  • 🟦 Home Screen (all app pages) = solid blue.
