I'm considering some photo editing on iPad alongside my M1 MacBook Air. Is the A16 iPad able to handle processing RAW photo files on photoshop/Affinity photo? Has anyone had any experience using it for this type of work? How does it perform with more complex workflows multiple layers, layer masks, creating composite images?
I use an iPad Pro 13” for a lot of mobile editing of photos using mostly Lightroom and a little Photoshop. I have Affinity and it may suffice for a lot of my PS use. My brother was try to edit on an iPad. You could use LR, but it was slow going. I convinced him to upgrade to an Air and it’s great. He use Affinity a lot and has no issues.
If you e got a lot of patience LR should be OK, but anything using AI and it’ll test your patience probably. The Air has an M3 and 8 GB RAM. A16 models have 6 GB RAM.
