Ripped albums from iTunes when synced to iPhone appear purchased with copyright

This is an interesting one. I don’t use Apple Music; I rip albums to PC, then sync directly to my iPhone. A problem I’m encountering is this ‘show complete album’ option. Copyright information appears below the album, and the artist name changes from greyed-out to red. Essentially, the album appears as if I have purchased tracks from the store, even when it is my own CD in origin. A fix I’ve found is to sign out of purchases on my iPhone; but that is now untenable with the latest update, which requires being signed in to use various apps like Instagram. Any tips on this would be appreciated.
