How to effectively use the new Music app interface on macOS Tahoe?

Can someone help me understand the thinking about the new Music App interface on MacOS Tahoe? I find it extremely unpleasant to use, but maybe I'm just not understanding how best to use it. Any hints and tips appreciated!
