iPhone 12 cannot update to iOS 17.7 or later

• Is your device one that is managed by a company?
• Do you have any Profiles listed at Settings > General > VPN & Device Management?

You have skipped a LOT of updates if your iPhone 12 is still on iOS 17. The current iOS version is 26.2. You should be able to update your iPhone using your computer with either Finder on Mac or Apple Devices on Windows.

For Mac --> Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with the Finder - Apple Support

Please note that you will only be offered iOS 26.2 as the version you can update to.
