  • Are you using a VPN? Port blocking with VPN use has been a common problem with the Transmission app. In addition some VPN's have not been updated for Tahoe support.
  • Do you have Little Snitch installed? Previous versions of Little Snitch has not been compatible with Tahoe. The latest version is 6.3.3, yet some have still reported problems that were resolved when it was removed.
  • What port have you set on your router to forward to your Mac?
  • Do you have the Mac Firewall turned on?

This is what the Developer provides for a closed port:

https://github.com/transmission/transmission/blob/main/docs/Why-is-my-port-closed.md

If another application in Tahoe is using the port chosen by Transmission, it will be a closed port. Instead of having Transmission automatically choose a port, you may have to manually configure one with your router and tell Transmission to use that one.

https://github.com/transmission/transmission/blob/main/docs/Port-Forwarding-Guide.md

Beyond that you will need to contact the Developer for compatibility with Tahoe. That has always been the case.

• Mac Firewall is not turned on.
  • Have you tried with the Firewall turned off?
  • Is Transmission listed in the Firewall set to Allow all connections? If not, try adding the app first.
  • Just to clarify the VPN, does "don't use any VPN" mean you do not have one installed or that you have it turned off. Sorry for asking again, but previously users have thought that turning them off means they are not using them and that is not true, they found resolution when they were uninstalled.

Then you will need to follow up with the Developer and make sure you have the latest version of the app downloaded. Any updates for Tahoe support would need to come from them if any change in their app is needed.
