Don't want reminders in outlook calendar!!!

How can I stop showing reminders in calendar for mac? I am using sequoia 15.6.1, with legacy outlook. There's an old thread on this, but none of the instructions work. I don't want to stop alerta, etc. on reminders. I just want to stop seeing them in my calendar because they clutter it up.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 15.6

this is not a new problem for mac users, and there was previously several responses which seemed to work for some. I'm coming at it a couple years later, and none of the suggested steps is appropriate. but I will try to go through the microsoft community too... because, it doesn't matter that you pay for Office 365, there's no actual support for an individual customer.
