Photos slideshow: Text position and slide duration on Mac

I want to make a slideshow of a vacation. I'm trying to do it in Photos, running Ventura 13.2.1 on a Mac Studio. I see how to overlay text on any photo or video and how to change the font or color. But I can't see how to move the text block. The text is blocking the sunset!

  1. How do I move the text block on each photo or video?
  2. Can I have the slides display in variable lengths of time? Or do they have to all be equal? Including the videos?
  3. If I have to do it in Movie, please steer me to a tutorial so I can accomplish the above.

Thanks!

The title slides are having a fixed format for each theme and we cannot move the text block. You may want to try a different theme.

What I am doing, when I want to add text to a Photos slideshow is to duplicate the photo and write the text into the copy of the photo, using the mark-up extension. Then I am free where to put the text.

You could also consider to use the Keynote.app, that comes with every Mac for free and create the slideshow as a Keynote presentation. Then you are having much more freedom, how to arrange the photos and text blocks on a slide and control the transitions and sound effects.

In some Photos slideshow themes the videos will not play the full length, only a few seconds. An added bonus of a Keynote slideshow would be, that the videos will play and Live Photos will remain animated.
