Option to widen columns missing in Finder
I don't know if it's because of the newest update, but I no longer have the option to widen columns in Finder
MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 26.2

That is a good suggestion, Owl-53, but this vertical bar is only available in list view, not in column view.
In column view, the vertical bar is much larger. Just drag it.
There is also a setting in View > View options to automatically resize columns to fit file names.

Tahoe 26.2 >> Finder >> List View
The small, almost invisible Vertical Bar in the header can be dragged Left or Right
The horizontal scroll bar may be hiding the control to widen the columns. Then it helps to change the System Settings for the scroll bars and set it to automatic instead of "Always".
That is a good suggestion, Owl-53, but this vertical bar is only available in list view, not in column view. I am rarely using the list view, because I have many nested folders, and then the column view is easier to use. And in column view the horizontal scrollbar is occluding the handle to resize the column.

An aside, SVP
@ BDAqua says Hi
In System Settings > Appearance, this setting:
Once set, the divider can be dragged, shown as a thin line instead of a bar:
