unable to delete extra spoken voices there's a lot of spoken voices downloaded and they're taking up gbs of space but i can't seem to delete them. i have no need for czech, german, bulgarian, etc languages and i wasn't even able to delete videos to make room because it gave me an error that my storage is too full to send to trash. i uninstalled apps and then i was able to delete videos but it's imperative i delete these spoken languages so i can have storage space.

How can I delete downloaded spoken content voices on Mac? I tried Spoken Content and downloaded some voices. I want to delete unnecessary voices. There are lists of voices you can download in : System Settings -> Accessibility -> Spoken Content -> click i with circle at the end of 'System voice' -> click '>' at the end of 'Voice' There was no 'Edit' or minus button but I managed to find out that swipe left shows Delete like iOS (poor UI design for macOS which should be fixed). Some voices like Agnes of English(United States) is swipable and shows Delete. So I could delete it. But Siri Voice 2 of English(Australia) is not swipable and I couldn't delete this and several other voices. Why are these voices are not swipable and how can I delete these them? You don't, they are baked into the OS just like the emojis or system sounds that you are also unable to delete. The OS is installed on a Read Only partition of your drive that prevents any alterations. That is also why you cannot have any viruses installed to alter any of those System files.

You cannot remove items installed by the OS. Just don't use them.
