Whatsapp from iCloud doesn't restore.

I had to reinstall whatsapp and now want to restore it from iCloud. It's 5.7Gb but now, over 4 hrs it's not done. Right in the beginning it goes to 99% and stays there. How much time it usually takes?

Is it normal for WhatsApp to use more iCloud storage than Google Drive? I've recently moved from Android device, and was able to transfer all of my application data, one of them was WhatApp chat history. The storage on Android phone was about 15Gb, chat history with multimedia included, backing up all of it on Google Drive took 8Gb, I assume there is some kind of compression. After the move the application data stayed more or less the same, but the backup on iCloud is using 45Gb. Is there a special way the files are stored, that is takes 3 time the actual size of the app or I'm missing some backup settings? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Unable to delete WhatsApp backup from iCloud The free space in my iCloud account is almost over and I would like to get some more storage by deleting Whatsapp backup. I went to "Manage Account Storage" > Whatsapp > "Delete Data from iCloud button" > "Delete" and nothing happens. I tried many ways to get this to work without success: hard iPhone reset, sign out and sign in back to my iCloud account, deactivate backup in Whatsapp. Also there is no option in Whatsapp to delete iCloud backup. What should I do? Buying more iCloud storage is not an option.
