No matter what number I call, it dials another number. I called Cricket Wireless a few days ago (best deal in town). The phone calls that number now, regardless or what number I put in.

That’s a carrier issue. You’ll need to talk to Cricket’s support team to resolve the issue.
Request a replacement SIM card.
If the long support call wait times are frustrating, you may be able to resolve the issue by visiting one of their stores.
This is frustrating. No option on their website for support like this. On phone hold for 45 minutes. Tried chat - and it's a bot that can't help AT ALL
