iPhone mirroring has not been working since the Tahoe 26.2 update, with iPhone 13 and 14 both running iOS 26.2. Requests to mirror either end with 'iPhone timed out', or 'cannot find/connect to iPhone'. Believe me, I have tried everything offered to 'remedy' this. This is obviously a bug.

For iPhone Mirroring to work, all devices must be signed in with the same Apple ID. Only one iPhone can be mirrored at a time.
Restart the iPhone and make sure it is protected with a passcode—mirroring will not work without one.
Enable both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on the iPhone and the Mac, then lock the iPhone.
Finally, start mirroring from a Mac that uses the same Apple ID and is connected to the same Wi-Fi network with Bluetooth turned on.
iPhone mirroring is not always the iOS update's fault! Many things can cause phone problems. If you tell people you think it's an iOS update, it might make it harder to fix or find a solution for the real issue.

Was/Is your device Jailbroken? If that's the situation, please be informed that attributing the issues to iOS updates may not be accurate.

It appears to be significant issue from Google search returns on this issue at the moment - lots of people are struggling with this since 26.2 (iOS and MacOS)

All of these points are irrelevant to my situation since it was working before, and I understand the necessity for all of these. All your points above have been followed through, from the outset by me, when trying this. It is not the first time I have used mirroring (before with Sequoia and iOS 18 etc.)
Why would my device be jailbroken? I only buy genuine devices. New from the supplier - iStore or cell company such as Vodacom. Never had a 'jailbroken' device. Why do you assume this?
Done all of that - several times. Did not help.
I am also facing a similar issue after ios 26.2 update, previously it was working absolutely fine.
