Yes, I have an iPhone 8 and I still see updates to the apps I use (I don't do anything like TikTok or Facebook or Instagram). At some point though, app developers will require an iOS version higher than an 8 can run and you will see fewer and fewer apps that an 8 will support. An iPhone 8 can run up to iOS 16 and we are already 3 versions past that. Some developers require one of the two most recent iOS versions (currently iOS 26 or 18).
