I can't install the latest Google Drive app on my M1 MacBook Pro. Please help.

My software version is MacOS 26.2! I'm not sure if this is because Google Drive used to automatically update, or if the version I installed when I first purchased it was still supported. Since last week, it's been telling me to upgrade to the latest version because support for older versions is discontinued, so I downloaded the latest DMG file and ran the PKG to install it.

However, due to the installation failure error, I tried everything I could with ChatGPT.

I even tried deleting Google-related folders in the Library folder, tweaking startup security policies, kernel extensions, and so on.

However, even after removing everything, the problem persists. I've contacted Google Customer Service twice online. They just keep saying there's no problem and telling me to call Apple Korea! This is so frustrating!

As a Google One subscriber, I've been using file streaming via Drive on my desktop, and it's been so convenient!

I wonder if you're all experiencing this...

If you have any solutions, I'd appreciate it.

I don't use Google drive myself to say more, however you can

for your third party app—if in doubt search the developers website or contact their: Support/Help/FAQ/Known issues/compatibility/updates… Contact a third-party vendor - Apple Support

see what that say– if there are issues
