How do I fix image loading and connectivity issues after iOS 26.2 update on iPhone SE?

I have an iPhone SE second edition. I just updated the operating system to IOS 26.2 but am now experiencing some issues. When I bring up apps like Facebook or Threads the text loads but the images don't. Games on my phone won't fully load so aren't playable. The screen tells me I'm connected to the Internet but I'll get a message saying I'm not connected even though my phone tells me I am. I'm not sure what to do. Need some help.

Perhaps a long shot:

Do you have a 3rd party VPN installed, even if you are not using it? If so, delete the VPN profile in Settings/General/VPN & Device Management/VPN, then restart your device. Don't just turn it off; delete the profile. Updates sometimes need to have VPN to be removed and reinstalled. If that fixes it, you can try reinstalling VPN, but probably shouldn't.

If you connect to Wifi, doesn't necessarily mean you are connected to the internet. --> Internet not available WiFi and Cellular … - Apple Community

Wi-Fi Assist is on by default. This will automatically switch to Cellular Data if the device is not connected to the internet.
