Apple Calendar events faded after Tahoe update

I just switched to Tahoe and Apple Calendar is so faded that I cannot see the difference between a calendar and another unless I click on an event. Events I click on have a nice color, but everything else is so faded! This makes it impossible for me, as a chromatic thinker who uses color-anchored associative retrieval, to actually work with this calendar. Adding to that, I use the calendar as a method of record keeping and now I have past years of events I cannot any longer visually distinguish from each other.

So my question is this: How do I make sure the events not selected still have full color?

Or is there another work-around to this situation of color-loss?
