iPhone 17 audio switches to iPhone speaker in car
my new iphone 17 paired with my Porsche 911 but the audio kept switching back to the speaker on the i phone once connected but not onto my car speaker. Doea anyone know how to fix this?
Do you have a VPN installed on your iPhone (whether it is used or not)? If yes, get rid of it. Remove the VPN Profile in Settings > General > VPN & Device Management. Remove any associated app. Restart your iPhone, then try to pair the phone again to your car.
Also, if you had a phone paired with your car previously, did you have your car forget the phone before you paired your new phone with the car? You should have your car forget the previous phone. And then open Settings > General > About > Name and name your new iPhone different from your previous phone.
Finally, it's my understanding (from a Google Search) that from 2017 onward, Porsche cars had Apple CarPlay. Why aren't you using it instead of just a Bluetooth connection?
