Recent MacBook Pro single click issues with trackpad and mouse?

Some sort of issue is occurring with the cursor clicks on my 2023 MacBook Pro (M3 Max, Tahoe 26.2), as of the last week.

The right-click and double clicks work fine, but randomly the single click will work oddly. In a web browser, it won't let me click into another tab, but will seem to highlight/select the tabs in a way I cannot replicate.

When going to the dock to open an application, it opens the finder application folder and highlights the application instead of opening it.

If I try to command 4 to drag and select a screen capture, it only tracks the horizontal motion.

This issue persists both using the trackpad and the wired mouse.

I have not been able to deliberately reproduce this issue, nor correlate it to a time of day, device temperature, or activity on device.

I have not downloaded any new applications that I'm aware of, and running the trackpad and software diagnostics did not yield any reference codes.

Included images may be lower quality, as they were captured by my phone due to the error not easily permitting screen captures. I have no clue if their inclusion will help.
