How to locate and change moving wallpapers on Mac?

Where are moving wallpapers saved on Mac with Tahoe 26.2?

I had a custom wallpaper that I used with Sonoma and Sequoia using the '/Library/Application Support/com.apple.idleassetsd/Customer/4KSDR240FPS' and changing the .mov file method. However, this no longer works with the update and I want to find a work around.

Any new wallpapers that I download do not go to this folder anymore and I cannot locate them. I already tried to find the '/Library/Application Support/com.apple.wallpaper/aerials/videos' folder that I saw some people mentioning, but this doesn't exist on my Macbook?

Please let me know where I can find these .mov files at since they no longer exist in the 4KSDR240FPS folder!

I found the .mov files everyone!

I typed this into Terminal:

find ~/Library /Library -type f \( -iname "*.mov" -o -iname "*.mp4" \) 2>/dev/null | grep -i aerial

And it shows you exact where the files are located! I was able to switch my default aerials out into a custom one! Ty for everyones help! <3

There can be no spaces at the end of the copy and paste:

~/Library/Application Support/com.apple.wallpaper/aerials/videos/

Some guess work here but see if this works for you—

Add a custom .mov video wallpaper in macOS Tahoe

replace a downloaded system aerial video file—download a default Tahoe aerial in System Settings>Wallpaper

Convert your video to .mov and replace the default file, with your renamed file

from Finder>Go>Go to folder copy and paste:

~/Library/Application Support/com.apple.wallpaper/aerials/videos/

Note: if you have FileVault turned on, that Tahoe default dynamic wallpaper "Tahoe Day"

/System/Library/Desktop Pictures/.wallpapers

you do not have r/w access to /System folders. Turn off FileVault in >System Settings>Privacy & Security

I found one of the folders.

/System/Library/Desktop Pictures/

However, there is no /.wallpaper folder and no Tahoe Day file in this folder.

As for ~/Library/Application Support/com.apple.wallpaper/aerials/videos/

for some reason that folder does not exist on my Macbook despite having recently downloaded new wallpapers. I cannot find this folder at all : (

EDIT: Found them! The /.wallpaper folder was hidden and I found the .mov files! Thank you!
