Update to Logic 12 broke my Library

I updated from Logic 11 to Logic 12, and my Sound Library, which was relocated to an external SSD, stopped working.

The “Relocate” option has completely disappeared from the UI, and Logic is now asking me to download over 80 GB of sound packs again, even though they already exist on my SSD.

I’ve tried uninstalling Logic completely, but it still doesn’t recognize my existing library and prompts me to redownload everything.

Can anyone advise how to make Logic 12 recognize my library on the SSD, or is there a workaround for the missing Relocate option?

Thanks in advance,

Hi again,

I noticed my SSD usage increased by nearly 200 GB compared to before!

After investigating, I found a new file on my SSD called Logic Pro Library.bundle, which is roughly the same size as the previous library folders.

Can i assume this the new library? And is it safe to delete all the other folders?

Thanks in advance!

But if I launch logic without external drive attached (i dont need it every time) it prompts to locate or create a new one.

Previously there was an option to ignore and launch without library.

Now if I dont need external library (and hence not using external drive) I have to create a local library but when I want to use my external library I have to locate it from settings again and this cycle goes on... Just stupid.

Keeping Ignore option would be the best solution...
