HomePod 26.2 "plays" songs but no sound comes out

I have a heterogenous setup with 2 HomePods, 2 HomePod mini, 1 Apple TV, and 1 AirPort Express which I generally keep ganged together. Ever since the update to 26.2, every 2-5 songs the HomePods all go quiet after finishing a song. When I look at my iPhone I see that the next song is "playing" (the progress bar is advancing) but no sound is coming out. Pausing and then resuming, or tapping the << button to go back to the beginning of the song, causes the system to wake up and start playing the music as it should, but this is happening several times an hour and I'm sick of it.
