MacBook Pro M5 backorder shipping estimate

Hi,

I recently purchased a new MacBook Pro M5, 32gb RAM, 512 SSD (in silver) from an authorized retailer (B&H Photo) on 01/26/26. It was a special order with an estimated shipping time of about 2-4 weeks. The 24gb model has an estimated shipment time of 2 days.

According to B&H, my product is backordered through the manufacturer. I'm wondering how long it could take for Apple to build/ship this machine off?

This is my first Mac and I'm new to the process.

Any insight/help would be greatly appreciated.

You will gave to deal with B&H.

Apple computers are not warehoused. When an order is made the order is sent to manufacturing and the computer is built. An email is sent from Apple with an estimate shipping date. When the computer is built and sent to shipping another email is sent.

Apple is not here. We are users like you so we have no added insight into orders, shipping, or other purchase process. Nor do we have any additional knowledge about B&H.
