How did a photo from a different branded phone appear in my camera roll?

Someone has / had taken a photo from a different branded phone, from across the world and it’s in my camera roll, metadata and the works show this. Have I had a security breach on my phone?

Also any third party apps that have permission to access your Photo Library can save a photo there. Check those apps at Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos.

Are you using iCloud Photos and have any other devices listed at Settings > [name on top] and scroll to the button? Any photo added to that device will appear on yours and that one could have originated from Messages or a third party app with the Meta data included from the originator of the photo.
