Wireless carplay keeps crashing

iOS 26.2.1 and prior version has numerous crashes when connecting to wireless carplay. I have verified this on a cheap Android carplay unit, BMW, and Dodge. Doesn't seem to be an issue with wired carplay on my RAM. Behavior is that the carplay display is black, the iPhone will freeze up and require a restart or sometimes it will reboot on its own. Home screen widgets also seem to go black but not sure if that's related or not. This is repeatable and I can get logs if you tell me what you need.
